Role Description The Social Media Marketing Manager (contract, remote) is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing social media campaigns across multiple platforms to support clients’ growth and brand visibility. Day-to-day tasks include developing content calendars, coordinating content creation, managing posting and engagement, and monitoring performance metrics. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and clients to align social media strategy with overall digital marketing objectives, as well as identifying opportunities for audience growth and retention. The Social Media Marketing Manager will analyze campaign data, prepare performance reports, and continuously refine strategies based on insights and trends relevant to the African market.

Qualifications

  • Strong Social Media Marketing skills, including platform management, audience engagement, and campaign execution.
  • Experience with Social Media Optimization (SMO) to improve reach, visibility, and performance across channels.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective Content Strategy tailored to diverse industries and markets.
  • Solid Digital Marketing knowledge, including analytics, paid advertising basics, and integration with broader marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams and present clear performance insights.
  • Proficiency in using social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience managing social media campaigns for agencies or businesses in Africa or emerging markets is an advantage.
  • Relevant education or certifications in marketing, communications, or a related field are beneficial.


Candidate should present a portfolio of previously managed social media accounts.
