SAS-IM is an investment advisory firm licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The firm provides diversified portfolio management services to high-net-worth individuals and institutions and offers mutual fund products and smaller investors.
Job Summary
Accountabilities
· Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients to retain the existing client base and also focus on generating new clients and business.
· Book appointments for company and investor visits to source for potential ordinary and high-net worth investors, and to market and sell SAS products and services.
· Attend to walk-in clients and address their inquiries and handle other general client relationship duties.
· Open investor accounts and enter profiles, deposits, and orders in the Brokerage System.
· Participate in the execution of trades on behalf of SAS on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) platform
· Prepare orders for trading on a daily basis; and handle Back-office operations, including trade settlement and reconciliation, allotments and the posting of transactions, trading results and share price updates from the CSD system into the Brokerage system.
· Ensure that clients receive contracts notes within 2 days; check settlement positions and advise the Accounts department and clients on payment accordingly.
· Process any client orders for transfers to and from Midas and Fortune fund (Purchase and sale)
· Update dividend-paying schedules regularly and also Funds transactions into the Brokerage system and generate and send out valuation statements.
· Track client monthly standing orders.
· Reconcile clients’ statement with Accounts and SAS-IM.
· Perform Custodian, Registrar and Broker relationship tasks, including CSD withdrawals, inter/intra transfers and pledges, and the deposit of share certificates.
· File approved documents and ensure that all entries are made into Brokerage system, including OTC transactions and newly issued shares to be registered.
· Process GJSB redemptions and indemnity forms.
· Generate weekly and monthly departmental reports for Brokerage.
· Obtain relevant and approved investment market knowledge and market intelligence.
· Maintain regular contact with clients and ensure that investors are updated regularly on developments in the market, including emailing monthly stock picks and attending to client mails and calls.
· Generate brokerage primarily through the provision of investment advisory services to SAS clients on their equity portfolio for long term investments as well as positional trading ideas in shares for the short/medium term.
· Ensure that all regulatory requirement in relation to SEC and GSE compliance, reporting and risk management are adhered to.
· Other duties as may be assigned.
