Role Description The Security Personnel role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kumasi, responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for RCCU staff, members, visitors, and assets. The role involves monitoring entry and exit points, checking identification where required, and enforcing access control procedures across the facility. The Security Personnel will conduct regular patrols of the premises, observe and report suspicious behavior, and promptly respond to security incidents or emergencies in line with organizational protocols. Daily tasks include documenting security events, completing incident reports, and collaborating with management and external security agencies when necessary. The role also involves safeguarding sensitive information and equipment, supporting safe cash movement procedures, and providing courteous assistance and directions to members and visitors while upholding RCCU’s professional standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Physical Security skills, including access control, premises patrol, surveillance monitoring, and incident response.
- Foundational understanding of Cybersecurity, Network Security, and Information Security principles relevant to protecting member data and digital systems.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written reporting, active listening, and professional interaction with members, colleagues, and external partners.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related protective services role is highly beneficial.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and follow established procedures during emergencies.
- Good physical fitness, alertness, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
- Basic computer literacy for incident reporting and use of security systems; familiarity with CCTV and alarm systems is an advantage.
