Security Guard

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Security Guard at BOT Properties, located in Legon. The Security Guard will be responsible for safeguarding assigned properties, monitoring entrances, ensuring the safety of tenants and homeowners, and preventing unauthorized access. Additional duties include conducting periodic patrols, responding to incidents or emergencies, and providing exceptional customer interactions while maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Control access to the property by monitoring entry and exit points.
• Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and service providers before granting access.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify and prevent security breaches.
• Monitor security systems, CCTV cameras, alarms, and other surveillance equipment where applicable.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, disturbances, and suspicious activities.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: Senior High School Certificate, Diploma, or HND.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of proven experience in a security role.
• Height requirement: Minimum 5 - 6 feet
• Must possess a valid National ID Card
• Knowledge of security operations, access control procedures, and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
• Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.
• Good observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Must be honest, trustworthy, and possess a high level of integrity.
• No criminal record.
• Previous experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or estate security will be an added advantage.
• Military, Police, Prisons, Fire Service, or private security background will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of CCTV operations and security technology will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night duties.
