Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role based in Legon for a Restaurant and Bar Manager. The Restaurant and Bar Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring high-quality customer service and standards in the restaurant and bar. Responsibilities include managing staff, providing training, maintaining inventory, handling customer inquiries, and meeting sales and revenue targets. The manager will work closely with other departments to enhance guest experiences and maintain a welcoming atmosphere that aligns with the organization’s excellence and customer satisfaction values.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Supervise daily restaurant and bar operations
- Ensure smooth service flow and high customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards
- Monitor opening and closing procedures
Staff Leadership
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff
- Set performance standards and manage discipline where needed
- Foster a positive, professional work environment
- Conduct team briefings and service reviews
Customer Experience
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly
- Ensure consistent food and beverage quality
- Build relationships with regular guests
Financial & Inventory Control
- Monitor sales, expenses, and profitability targets
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Reduce waste and prevent loss
- Prepare reports on revenue and operations
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol service regulations
- Maintain required licenses and records
- Enforce workplace health and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 'Customer Service and Communication skills to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and effectively engage with clients and staff.
- Expertise in Food & Beverage management and a strong understanding of menu planning, inventory control, and ensuring quality standards.
- Skills in Training and staff development to build and maintain an effective team.
- Proficient in Sales and promotional strategies to drive revenue growth and meet financial goals.
- Ability to manage budgets and maintain efficient operations while ensuring cost-effective practices.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
