Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Kumasi/Accra . The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), support cost planning from project inception to completion, and assist in tender preparation and evaluation. The role includes monitoring project budgets, implementing cost control measures, and preparing regular cost reports to track financial performance. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate cost forecasting and value for money throughout the project lifecycle. The position also involves supporting contract administration, assessing variations, and contributing to risk and value management activities.
Qualifications
Strong BOQ preparation and measurement skills, with the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.Proficiency in cost planning and cost management for construction projects, including budget development and forecasting.Experience in cost control and cost reporting, with the ability to analyze financial data and present clear summaries to stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.Familiarity with standard forms of construction contracts and basic contract administration practices.Competence in relevant QS or construction management software and strong MS Excel skills.Effective communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work on-site in Kumasi/Accra and manage multiple projects or tasks within deadlines.Previous experience in architecture or construction environments in Ghana or West Africa is an advantage.
