Project Engineer

Electrofax Engineering Services (GH) Limited is seeking to recruit Project Engineer.
Position Title: Project Engineer – 161kV Transmission Line & Substation Relocation Project
Job Purpose

• To coordinate engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning activities to ensure successful implementation of the 161kV transmission line and substation relocation works.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day project execution.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables, construction activities, and contractor performance.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design submissions.
• Monitor project schedules and track engineering milestones.
• Coordinate procurement activities and material delivery schedules.
• Conduct technical evaluations and resolve engineering issues.
• Interface between design teams, site teams, contractors, and client representatives.
• Support construction supervision and commissioning activities.
• Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and energization activities.
  

Qualification Requirements

• BSc in Electrical Engineering.
• PMP certification required.
• Minimum of 6 years experience in transmission line and substation engineering projects.
• Experience with EPC projects and utility infrastructure development.
• Knowledge of transmission line and substation design principles.
  

General Requirements

• Experience working on high-voltage transmission and substation projects (161kV or above preferred).
• Strong knowledge of utility standards, engineering codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and remote project locations.
• Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering/project management software.
• Commitment to quality, safety, environmental stewardship, and ethical conduct.
• Ability to work under demanding schedules while maintaining high professional standards.
