The Role
We are seeking a high-impact Production Manager to lead factory operations and deliver consistent, high-quality output.
This role is responsible for translating business priorities into operational execution—ensuring production, quality, cost, and team performance are aligned to drive sustainable growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Delivery Excellence
- Lead the execution of production plans to ensure timely delivery of customer orders
- Coordinate activities across all production stages to ensure smooth workflow and output consistency
- Drive operational discipline and adherence to production schedules
Quality Leadership
- Establish and enforce a robust quality management system across all production stages
- Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to reduce defects
- Build a culture of quality ownership across teams
Cost & Efficiency Management
- Drive cost control through efficient use of labour, materials, and overheads
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste
- Apply Lean and Industrial Engineering principles to optimize operations
Operational Discipline & Maintenance
- Ensure optimal performance and availability of production machinery
- Implement preventive maintenance systems and strengthen operational reliability
- Improve overall factory uptime and responsiveness to technical issues
Systems & Process Excellence
- Strengthen production planning, reporting, and performance tracking systems
- Ensure compliance with product specifications and bill of materials
- Introduce structured processes that improve visibility and decision-making
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Build and lead a high-performing production and Industrial Engineering team
- Develop supervisors and operators through structured training and coaching
- Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement
Business Contribution
- Support the delivery of overall business targets through strong operational performance
- Align production outputs with revenue and profitability objectives
Who We’re Looking For
You are a results-driven manufacturing leader with a proven ability to build structure, drive performance, and lead teams in dynamic environments.
Experience & Skills
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 5–7 years in a senior production or plant leadership role
- Strong experience in footwear, textiles, or light industrial production environments
- Proven track record in production leadership, factory turnaround, or operational scaling
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, and process optimization
- Experience implementing quality systems, performance tracking, and cost control frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- An engineering background (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related discipline) will be a strong advantage
