Procurement Officer

A construction company is seeking a Procurement Officer to join our team and support the effective and efficient procurement of goods and services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities and purchase requisitions.
• Source and evaluate suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Process purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.
• Conduct market research and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and approval requirements.
• Coordinate with Finance, Stores, Operations, Projects, and other departments.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• A professional qualification such as CIPS will be an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant procurement experience.
• Experience with ERP/procurement systems.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, logistics, or a related industry will be an advantage.
