About CardinalStone Capital Advisers (CCA)

CCA is a West Africa-focused private equity fund manager, investing in high-growth small to medium-sized companies operating primarily in Nigeria and Ghana. CCA’s investment approach is that of a value-added investor that contributes strategic and operational expertise and multi-level support towards helping partner companies realize their full potential. Over the course of our investment period, CCA works with businesses to transition from local players to regional sector champions. The CCA Private Equity team is looking for intellectually curious, driven, self-starters to join our team.

About the Role

CCA is offering a National Service placement within its Private Equity Investment team. This is a hands-on opportunity for a recent graduate to gain exposure to deal sourcing, end-to-end investment execution (investment thesis development, financial modelling), and portfolio support in a live investment environment.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Support the end-to-end investment process on tasks including company and market research, investment thesis development, due diligence and transaction closing
  • Conduct financial analyses, financial modelling, valuation and investment return analysis for prospective and existing investments
  • Contribute to the preparation of investment memoranda, investment committee presentations and other approval materials
  •  Monitor portfolio company performance through financial, operational and strategic analysis
  • Support portfolio value-creation initiatives, operational improvements and the implementation of strategic projects
  • Engage with management teams, advisers, co-investors, lenders and other transaction stakeholders
  • Support senior investment professionals on other tasks as may be required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum Second Class Upper in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (completed within the last 1–2 years)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfort working with numbers and data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial modelling is an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
  • Eagerness to learn, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive attitude
  • A team-oriented approach and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Must be eligible for National Service posting in Ghana

What You'll Gain

  • Direct mentorship from investment professionals
  • Practical exposure to the full investment lifecycle — sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio monitoring
  • A strong foundation for a career in private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance
  • A pathway to permanent employment for high-performing personnel
