Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Pharmacy and reporting faults timely to the General Services / Logistics for appropriate actions.
  • Ability to participate as a member of the medical team in providing care as well as monitoring and evaluation patients/ clients

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to collaborate with other disciplines and health care staff to ensure optimum care for clients /patients
  • Developing and maintaining team identity by encouraging effective team work through flexible working practice within the team for the achievement of profitability and productivity.
  • Checking incoming drugs from the store as well as expiry dates before and after taking stock at the pharmacy.
  • Ensuring that all private patients pay bills and are issued with the appropriate receipts/stamps.
  • Taking monthly stocks and updating the records accordingly.
  • A strong desire to participate in quality improvement activities
  • Dispensing drugs from the Medical Officer to patients and nurses, to the various wards and treatment rooms, paying particular attention to the issuance of right drugs and dosage.
  • Serving prescription-only-medicine (i.e., Adequate knowledge of the NHIS drugs list)
  • General knowledge of non-pharmacological approaches to disease management (Notably lifestyle modifications, diet, exercises etc.), side effects of medications, their administration and dosage regimens, good storage, rational medicine use and compliance.
  • Ability to play counselling roles.
  • Writing of weekly reports which should get to the Administrator every Friday at 12:00pm.
  • Matured persons between the ages of 30-50 years
