Job Description – Operations Lead
Role Purpose
To oversee, coordinate, and optimize the entire operational engine of Oceansmall
from sourcing and production to cold-chain logistics, retail (Tenda Protein), B2B
fulfillment, and digital operations (Pinwheel).
The role ensures that all departments
collaborate smoothly to meet revenue, quality, and efficiency targets.

Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business
Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years in operations leadership.
• Strong people management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and execute with urgency.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
These KPIs ensure the Operations Lead is aligned with Oceansmall’s growth and
efficiency goals.
1. Revenue & Fulfillment KPIs
90–100% monthly fulfillment rate for B2B and retail orders
Zero stockout for top 10 priority SKUs. ≤5% order returns or complaints.
2. Production & Quality KPIs
Achieve monthly production targets (weights/volumes per product line). Maintain ≤3% production loss/waste. 100% compliance with FDA, food safety, and internal SOPs.
3. Supply Chain KPIs
95% on-time supply deliveries from fishers/processors. Ensure quality compliance of 100%.
Reduction in double-freezing incidents to <2%.
4. Operational Efficiency KPIs
Reduce operational downtime by 20–30% within first 6 months.
Maintain cold-chain temperature logs at 100% accuracy. Ensure 24–48hr turnaround time for replenishing stockists and malls.
5. Team Performance KPIs
100% completion of appraisals, PIPs, and quarterly performance reviews
Improvement in departmental performance scores quarter-on-quarter.
Reduction in lateness, absenteeism, and operational delays across teams.
6. Reporting & Systems KPIs
Weekly operations report submitted on time (no delays). 80–100% adoption of Pinwheel for stock, supply, and production records. Implementation of at least 3 new operational SOPs per quarter.
7. Financial KPIs
Maintain operational costs within budget variances of ≤10%. Support achieving company annual revenue target. Boost gross margin through efficient operations (track quarterly).

All departments are aligned and performing consistently. Daily operations run predictably and smoothly.
