Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor

Reports to: Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

Our client is  seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join its construction team. The successful candidate will support the commercial and cost management aspects of projects, gaining exposure to all stages of the construction process while working closely with senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Help to create and manage project budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
• Tendering and Procurement: Assist in the preparation of tender documents and the evaluation of bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Help to procure materials and services at the best possible prices.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly progress reports, including valuations of work done and forecasting future costs. Help to manage project cash flow and report on financial performance.
• Contract Administration: Assist in the administration of construction contracts, including processing payment applications, change orders, and final accounts.
• Site Visits: Conduct site visits to measure and value work completed, and to resolve any financial or contractual issues that may arise

Qualifications & Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

·       1–3 years of relevant experience (graduates encouraged to apply).

·       Basic knowledge of construction contracts and cost control principles.

·       Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with QS software is an advantage.

·       Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
