Apex Trustee is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Investment Associate to support the management and monitoring of investment portfolios and contribute to informed investment decisions. The successful candidate will assist with investment research, portfolio analysis, performance monitoring, reporting, and market intelligence while ensuring activities are aligned with the company’s investment objectives, policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on investment opportunities, financial markets, securities, and economic trends.
- Support the evaluation and selection of investment opportunities in line with approved investment strategies.
- Monitor the performance, risk, and composition of investment portfolios.
- Prepare investment reports, portfolio performance reports, and market updates for management.
- Track interest rates, inflation, exchange rates, market movements, and other economic indicators relevant to investment decisions.
- Assist in financial modelling, valuation, forecasting, and investment analysis.
- Conduct due diligence and prepare investment briefs and recommendations.
- Monitor existing investments and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
- Support the preparation of investment proposals and presentations for relevant committees and management.
- Maintain accurate investment records and ensure timely reconciliation of portfolio information.
- Liaise with fund managers, financial institutions, custodians, brokers, and other investment-related stakeholders as required.
- Support compliance with approved investment policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular updates on portfolio performance, market developments, and investment opportunities.
- Perform other investment-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Investment Management, or a related field.
- Professional qualification or progress toward CFA, ACCA, CIMA, or a relevant investment/finance qualification is an advantage.
- 2–4 years’ experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, asset management, treasury, banking, pensions, or a related financial services environment.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Excellent report-writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyse complex information and translate it into clear investment insights.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
