Finance Officer

Role Summary

As the Finance Officer, you will work closely with the Finance Manager to maintain accurate financial records, process payments, and assist with financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles to grow within a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process and record accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are logged in the accounting system.
• Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Manage the preparation and issuance of invoices, and process vendor and supplier payments promptly.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and physical financial files, receipts, and documentation.
• Assist the Finance Manager in preparing monthly financial summaries, trial balances, and ad-hoc reports.
• Gather and organize necessary documentation to support internal and external audits.
• Assist in filing statutory returns and ensuring basic tax compliance under the guidance of senior finance staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Part-qualification in a professional body (e.g., ICAG, ACCA) is an added advantage.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial data entry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar ERPs).
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity when handling sensitive financial information.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
