Job Summary

The Officer – Editorial & Marketing supports the development, editing, and dissemination of high-quality content for training, consulting, marketing, and corporate communication purposes. Reporting to the Supervisor – Editorial, the role contributes to content creation, editorial support, and marketing communications in line with current editorial standards, branding guidelines, and organizational procedures.

The position plays an important execution role in ensuring that written, digital, and promotional materials are accurate, engaging, and aligned with organizational objectives.


Key Responsibilities

1. Editorial Content Development & Support

· Draft, edit, and proofread content including training materials, reports, proposals, articles, brochures, and internal communications.

· Support the preparation and formatting of consulting deliverables, training manuals, and learning resources.

· Ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to approved style guides and branding standards.

· Assist with version control, document formatting, and final preparation of materials for approval or publication.


2. Marketing & Communications Support

· Support the development of marketing and promotional content for digital and print platforms.

· Assist in preparing content for social media, websites, newsletters, and email campaigns.

· Ensure marketing messages are aligned with service offerings, brand tone, and corporate identity.

· Support coordination of marketing campaigns, events, and outreach activities as assigned.


3. Research & Content Enhancement

· Conduct basic research to support content development and ensure relevance and accuracy.

· Assist in compiling case studies, success stories, and knowledge resources for marketing and consulting use.

· Support content updates to reflect current trends, services, and organizational developments.


4. Documentation, Records & Knowledge Management

· Maintain organized records of editorial and marketing materials in line with document control procedures.

· Support filing, archiving, and retrieval of approved content and publications.

· Ensure confidentiality and data protection requirements are adhered to in all editorial work.


5. Quality Assurance & Compliance

· Ensure all content complies with internal policies, quality management standards, and ethical guidelines.

· Address feedback and revisions from the Supervisor – Editorial and other stakeholders promptly.

· Support internal reviews, audits, and quality checks related to editorial and marketing outputs.


6. Collaboration & Team Support

· Work closely with the Editorial, Training & Consulting, and Sales & Marketing teams to support content needs.

· Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and content planning activities.

· Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor – Editorial.

Required Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Publishing, or a related field.

· Professional training or certification in writing, editing, digital marketing, or communications is an added advantage.

· Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience in editorial, content development, or marketing communications roles.

· Demonstrable writing and editing skills for professional or corporate audiences.


Skills & Competencies

· Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

· Good understanding of marketing communication principles and branding.

· Attention to detail and commitment to content quality.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

· Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic digital content tools.


Desirable Attributes

· Experience supporting training, consulting, or professional services organizations.

· Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing platforms.

· Creative mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
