Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Bathe, brush, and dry dogs of various breeds and sizes.
- Perform haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming services according to breed standards or owner requests.
- Identify and communicate any health concerns such as skin conditions, ticks, or behavioral issues to pet owners.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work areas.
- Handle pets safely and humanely, ensuring minimal stress and a positive experience.
- Communicate with clients regarding grooming services, recommendations, and care instructions.
- Schedule appointments and maintain accurate grooming records.
- Uphold a high standard of animal care, hygiene, and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of dog breeds, grooming techniques, and health indicators.
- Ability to handle difficult or anxious animals with patience.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift medium to large dogs.
- Previous working experience as a dog groomer is a plus
Working Conditions:
- Must be comfortable working with various dog breeds and temperaments.
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Exposure to pet dander, cleaning chemicals, and noise.
