Key Responsibilities
Accurately dispense prescribed medications in a timely and professional manner.
Provide patient counselling on the safe and effective use of medications, including dosage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication therapy and patient outcomes.
Monitor patient drug therapy and provide recommendations for dosage adjustments or alternative medications when appropriate.
Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, and stock rotation to prevent shortages or expiries.
Maintain accurate records of all prescriptions and pharmaceutical transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence to all pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and safety standards related to the handling and dispensing of medications.
Participate in staff training sessions and educate hospital personnel on safe medication practices and pharmaceutical protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy Technology or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a pharmacy or clinical setting.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to ethical standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
