JOB OVERVIEW

An innovative and fast-growing organization is seeking to hire a highly experienced and strategic leader to join their team as the Director of Project Delivery. This is a search for a results-driven professional with a proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects. The Director of Project Delivery will oversee the full lifecycle of high-value projects, ensuring exceptional quality, cost efficiency, and timely completion. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader. With strong technical expertise, capable of coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and handover of multiple projects across various sites.
  • Develop and manage work programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate effectively with technical teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Identify risks and implement timely mitigation strategies to avoid delays and cost overruns.
  • Prepare structured weekly and monthly progress reports and performance dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all operational activities.
  • Oversee commercial documentation, including variations, material requests, and claims.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement meetings to support key project decisions.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to project teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, permits, and reporting records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering major construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Evidence of successfully delivering at least five complex, high-value projects.
  • Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) is a strong advantage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

Additional Requirements

  • Must provide a detailed portfolio of completed projects.
  • Strong stakeholder and client management abilities.
  • Willingness to undertake regular site visits and project coordination activities.
