JOB OVERVIEW
An innovative and fast-growing organization is seeking to hire a highly experienced and strategic leader to join their team as the Director of Project Delivery. This is a search for a results-driven professional with a proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects. The Director of Project Delivery will oversee the full lifecycle of high-value projects, ensuring exceptional quality, cost efficiency, and timely completion. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader. With strong technical expertise, capable of coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and handover of multiple projects across various sites.
- Develop and manage work programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and industry standards.
- Coordinate effectively with technical teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Identify risks and implement timely mitigation strategies to avoid delays and cost overruns.
- Prepare structured weekly and monthly progress reports and performance dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all operational activities.
- Oversee commercial documentation, including variations, material requests, and claims.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement meetings to support key project decisions.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to project teams.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, permits, and reporting records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering major construction or infrastructure projects.
- Evidence of successfully delivering at least five complex, high-value projects.
- Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) is a strong advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
Additional Requirements
- Must provide a detailed portfolio of completed projects.
- Strong stakeholder and client management abilities.
- Willingness to undertake regular site visits and project coordination activities.
