Applicants for either position must demonstrate

• Excellent leadership skills, ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams
• Broad knowledge and understanding of health policies, operating procedures and health sector quality assurance issues
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team player skills
• Ability to work independently, manage workload under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving, advocacy and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in report writing and good computer literacy
• Self-discipline, emotional stability, conflict management skills and a methodological approach to work
• Goal-oriented and honest disposition
  

Director of Nursing Services
Summary Of Job/Functions

• This role involves providing leadership and direction to nursing and midwifery staff, ensuring high standard of practice and offering technical advice on nursing/midwifery matter. The Director will oversee management of professional practice, monitor activities, contribute to research and develop/implement policies within the hospital
  

Main Duties And Responsibilities Include

• Setting and evaluating nursing/midwifery practice standards in line with the Nursing and Midwifery council
• Promoting and monitoring quality assurance systems
• Advising on manpower needs and ensuring equitable distribution of personnel
• Monitoring and evaluating performance, providing leadership and mentorship
• Developing and implementing policies, disseminating information and planning recruitment/succession
• Ensuring staff welfare and contributing to research, development and strategy
• Submitting regular report to the Chief Executive
  

Qualification Required & Experience

• Registered Nurse or Midwife with a postgraduate qualification (Master's degree, professional and Midwifery council of Ghana.
• At least of Chief Nursing Officer or a minimum of 3 years working experience as Deputy Chief Nursing Officer
• Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development, and training in managerial skills
