Job Summary

The Customer Service Support Staff assist the Customer Service Officers by performing duties that support customer interactions and administrative functions. This role is vital in ensuring smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction at West One Microfinance.

  • Minimum Qualification : Degree
  • Experience Level : Entry level
  • Experience Length : 2 years

Job Description/Requirements


Customer Interaction:

  • Serve as an intermediary between West One Microfinance and its clients.
  • Attend to customers who walk into the banking hall.
  • Assist customers with the completion of account opening forms, deposit, and withdrawal slips, and any other forms as needed.

Account Management:

  • Open and maintain customer accounts by accurately recording account information into the system.
  • Monitor investment accounts and call customers at least a week before their investments mature.


  • Receive and handle marketing calls on the company's MTN number.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection guidelines.

Product Knowledge:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all products and services offered by West One Microfinance.
  • Confidently communicate and promote product attributes to clients.

Administrative Duties:

  • Ensure the TV is turned on daily to advertise the company's products.
  • Report weekly, monthly, and annual calls received on the marketing phone.
  • Ensure compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management as needed.


  • A degree in a relevant field
  • Proven experience in a customer service role is preferred
  • Age Requirement: Must be above 35 years old.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection guidelines.
  • Proficiency in using customer service software and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented demeanor.
