Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and skilled Copywriter to join our Communications team. Their role involves collaborating closely with Designers, Marketers, PR of the comms team, and other professionals in the group of companies to ensure that all copy and messaging will be written and communicated effectively to inform and engage our target audience.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

Creative and technical writing:

  • Crafting clear and engaging content for various mediums, including ads, headlines, publications, newsletters, and more.
  • Use a distinct voice to convey the brand's tone of voice effectively.


Interpreting Copywriting Briefs:

  • Analyze a project brief to understand the specific requirements and goals.
  • Tailor the copy to align with the project's objectives and the brand's tone of voice.


Collaborating with Designers, Marketers and PR Professionals:

  • Work alongside designers, marketers, PR teams, and other experts to brainstorm and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Contribute to email campaigns, website pages, and other large- or small-scale projects.


Conducting Research and Interviews:

  • Conduct thorough research and interviews to create accurate and relevant content.
  • Gather insights to enhance the quality of their writing.


Collaborating with Designers, Marketers and PR Professionals:

  • Review their work meticulously to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
  • Refine their copy to meet high standards.


Applying SEO Principles:

  • Work with social media professionals to incorporate relevant keywords and strategies to enhance visibility.


Creativity and Collaboration:

  • Imaginative and collaborative.
  • Contribute fresh ideas and work well within a team.


Time Management and Organization:

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines, effective time management, and organizational skills.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a copywriter or in a related role - in creative writing.
  • At least 3-4 years experience in similar roles or the same duties/experiences.
  • Industry: Advertising, media, journalism, Content Creation, Marketing.
  • Skilled wordsmith with an eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of online content strategy and creation.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, English, journalism, or a related field.
  • Multiple spoken languages will be a plus
  • Local dialects, speaking and writing in Twi. Other local dialects are a plus.
  • Any Gender


Additional:

  • Familiarity with social media content and SEO practices.
  • Salary: Negotiable, based on experience
