Community & Growth Manager
Job descriptions & requirements
B8 Hub is a co-working and community space in Accra — somewhere calm and beautiful to work, hold a meeting, or gather your people. We offer hot desks, The Bloom Room for private meetings, and The Gathering for workshops and events.
The name comes from Bungalow 8, the two-room house where eight of us grew up. By the world's measure we had very little; by every measure that matters we were rich — in love, community, friendship and faith. B8 Hub is built to feel like that house: a place where people are known, welcomed and at ease. Community, faith and belonging aren't marketing lines for us; they're the brief.
Role Description
The Community & Growth Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Accra. Right now, we need someone who can do three things well:
1. Drive bookings. Reach out, follow up and convert — desks, The Bloom Room and The Gathering. You'll own the enquiries inbox and the pipeline, and you'll be measured on a full space.
2. Organise events. Plan and host the workshops, activations and community gatherings that bring new people through the door and give members a reason to stay close.
3. Keep the space ready. Every day, doors open on a hub that's clean, calm, set up and welcoming — no exceptions. You're the person who makes that true.
Everything else — content, partnerships, member relationships, weekly reporting — exists to serve those three.
What you'll do
- Run the space day to day - readiness, the morning welcome, and a smooth experience from arrival to close
- Manage bookings and enquiries for desks, The Bloom Room and The Gathering — responding quickly and warmly
- Fill the space - proactive outreach to businesses, freelancers, startups and creatives, and follow-up that converts
- Create the content that drives awareness and enquiries across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X
- Grow membership - promote day passes and memberships in a way that feels like an invitation, not a pitch
- Plan and host events and activations that make the hub a place people gather, not just book
- Turn visitors into regulars - build real relationships with members and keep them coming back
- Track bookings, leads and engagement, report on growth weekly, and use what you learn to sharpen the next month
- Represent B8 Hub at local networking events and build partnerships with aligned brands
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills - you can engage diverse audiences and build genuinely meaningful relationships
- Analytical ability - comfortable working with analytics to measure engagement and growth
- Proven sales skills - able to promote programmes, memberships and events without ever feeling pushy
- Experience planning, coordinating and executing community or growth initiatives
- A background in community building, social media management or marketing is beneficial
- Able to work on-site in Accra, collaborate closely with a small team, and juggle multiple priorities
- Empathy and emotional intelligence - you notice the person who's new, and you make them feel at home
- Relevant education or certification in communications, marketing, business or a related field is an advantage
What we offer
