Job summary
BASICS International is establishing a Communications & Media Team to help document and share the impact of its programs. The team will be responsible for capturing program activities, creating engaging content, managing digital communications, and producing materials that highlight BASICS’ work with children, youth, and communities. We are seeking individuals with experience in communications, social media, storytelling, photography, or marketing who are passionate about using media and communication to support community development.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Manage and maintain BASICS social media platforms
- Create engaging posts that highlight program activities and impact
- Support online engagement with supporters, partners, and the public
- Write short stories and updates highlighting student and community impact
- Support the creation of newsletters and communication updates
- Assist with website and digital content updates
- Capture photographs and videos of program activities
- Document events, training sessions, and community activities
- Organize media content for future communication and outreach
- Design flyers, posters, and communication materials
- Support promotion of BASICS programs, events, and initiatives
- Assist with outreach campaigns that raise awareness of BASICS’ work
- Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or related field
- Social media management and digital communications
- Photography or videography
- Graphic design or marketing materials
- Writing and storytelling
