Civil Engineer

Electrofax Engineering Services (GH) Limited is seeking to recruit Civil Engineer.
Position Title: Civil Engineer – Transmission Line & Substation Relocation Project
Job Purpose
To manage and supervise all civil and structural engineering aspects of the transmission line and substation relocation project.
Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve civil engineering designs and construction drawings.
• Supervise foundation construction for transmission towers and substation equipment.
• Oversee site grading, access roads, drainage systems, retaining structures, and building works.
• Ensure compliance with approved specifications and construction standards.
• Review geotechnical reports and recommend foundation solutions.
• Conduct site inspections and quality verification activities.
• Monitor contractor performance and productivity.
• Coordinate civil works with electrical installation activities.
• Verify quantities, measurements, and progress certifications.
  

Qualification Requirements

• BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 8–10 years experience in power infrastructure projects.
• Experience in transmission line foundations, substation civil works, roads, drainage, and structural works.
• Knowledge of geotechnical investigations and structural analysis.
  

General Requirements

• Experience working on high-voltage transmission and substation projects (161kV or above preferred).
• Strong knowledge of utility standards, engineering codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and remote project locations.
• Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering/project management software.
• Commitment to quality, safety, environmental stewardship, and ethical conduct.
• Ability to work under demanding schedules while maintaining high professional standards.
