Role Description

The Chief Pilot is a full-time, on-site role based in West Africa. This position involves overseeing all aspects of flight operations, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, and maintaining high safety standards. The Chief Pilot will manage the recruitment, training, and development of pilots, conduct performance evaluations, and implement safety initiatives. Responsibilities also include collaborating with flight operations teams, managing pilot schedules, and ensuring the effective communication of operational guidelines and updates.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills to oversee pilot teams and ensure operational efficiency.
• Comprehensive knowledge of aviation industry regulations, flight operations, and safety protocols.
• Experience in flight planning, scheduling, and conducting evaluations of aviation personnel.
• Highly proficient in decision-making, problem-solving, and handling operational challenges efficiently.
• Proven flying experience with a current airline transport pilot license (ATPL) and relevant type ratings.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on-site in the Washington DC-Baltimore Area and manage a team in a professional environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, aeronautics, or a related field is an advantage.
