Job summary
A Chemistry Teacher (Cambridge IGCSE & Cambridge International A Level) is responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Chemistry lessons in line with the Cambridge curriculum. The role involves preparing lesson plans, assessing student progress, conducting practical laboratory sessions, and preparing students for Cambridge examinations. The teacher fosters critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and a positive learning environment while supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop a lasting interest in Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Prepare students effectively for Cambridge IGCSE and A Level examinations.
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions while ensuring compliance with laboratory health and safety procedures.
- Assess, monitor, and report on students academic progress.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development activities
Resquirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or a related field (a postgraduate/Masters qualification will be an added advantage).
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience within the Cambridge International Curriculum, specifically at the IGCSE and A Level.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the Cambridge Chemistry syllabus and assessment requirements.
- Have a proven record of preparing students for outstanding performance in Cambridge examinations.
- Be skilled in planning and delivering engaging, practical, and inquiry-based Chemistry lessons.
- Possess excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Be committed to safeguarding, student welfare, and continuous professional development.
