Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and position CCTV cameras, recording equipment, monitors, network cabling, power supplies and associated accessories.
- Configure and test digital video recorders/network video recorders, camera views, recording schedules, storage and authorised remote viewing.
- Install and maintain PA amplifiers, speakers, microphones, mixers, cabling and control equipment in line with site requirements.
- Diagnose faults such as loss of video, poor image quality, recording failures, network issues, audio distortion and damaged cables.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, system testing, firmware/configuration checks where authorised and replacement of faulty components.
- Label cables and equipment clearly; maintain accurate installation drawings, IP/device details where applicable, asset records and service reports.
- Protect footage, passwords and system access information; follow company confidentiality, privacy and access-control procedures.
- Coordinate with store management, security, ICT and contractors to schedule work safely and minimise disruption to operations.
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies:
- Technical certificate, diploma or equivalent practical training in CCTV, electronics, networking, electrical installation or a related field.
- Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting CCTV and PA systems; basic IP networking knowledge is an advantage.
- Ability to use hand tools, cable-testing equipment and system configuration interfaces.
- Good attention to detail, customer service and documentation skills; willing to travel to company sites and work at height when safely equipped.
Location: North Industrial Area.
Salary: GHC 2,000 - 4,000 Net
