Role Description The Business & Accounting Teacher will deliver engaging lessons in Business Studies and Accounting to secondary and A-Level learners, following the school’s curriculum and assessment standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and preparing lesson materials, teaching scheduled classes, assessing student performance, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records. The teacher will support students in exam preparation, facilitate classroom discussions, integrate real-world business and financial concepts, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices. Additional duties include participating in staff meetings, contributing to co-curricular activities, communicating with parents or guardians when needed, and upholding school policies and student well-being. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Legon.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies and Accounting, with the ability to teach at secondary and A-Level.
• Proven classroom teaching skills, including lesson planning, instructional delivery, and classroom management.
• Experience with student assessment, grading, and providing constructive academic feedback.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learning styles and academic levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Education, or a related field; teaching certification or license is an advantage.
• Previous experience teaching in an international or standards-based school setting is beneficial.
• Comfort using educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
