Auto Workshop Floor Coordinator

Essential Skills / Experience / Degrees:

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive service processes and workshop flow.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer software for workflow management, including Ms. Office Suite.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

Experience:

• Extensive experience in an automotive workshop environment.
• Proven track record of coordinating workshop floor activities effectively.
• Experience in managing technicians and ensuring quality service delivery.

Degrees/Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in automotive technology or management preferred.
• Relevant certifications in automotive service or management.
• Technical engineering knowledge or certifications in automotive technology are advantageous.
• 5 years in a similar role

Major Accountability & Tasks:

Accountability:

• Oversee the daily operations of the workshop floor to ensure efficient workflow.
• Ensure the quality of work and adherence to safety standards.
• Manage resources effectively to meet service targets.

Tasks:

• Coordinate the assignment of work to technicians based on skill level and job urgency.
• Monitor the progress of repairs and maintenance to ensure timely completion.
• Facilitate communication between service advisors, technicians, and customers.
• Implement and maintain workflow management systems to enhance efficiency.
• Train and support workshop staff in operational best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintains equipment and facility.
• Ensure regular quality assurance checks to ensure the high standard of repairs and maintenance services.
