Role Description The AI/ML Digital Trainer Volunteer will support BEEVIF’s educational and outreach efforts by creating and delivering digital training content on artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts. This volunteer role is remote and focuses on developing simple, accessible learning materials, tutorials, and guides tailored for learners with diverse technical backgrounds. Day-to-day tasks may include preparing lesson plans, recording or hosting online training sessions, curating resources, and adapting content to different age groups and community needs. The volunteer may collaborate with other team members to align training with ongoing educational initiatives and provide feedback on learners’ progress. This is a volunteer position with flexible hours, ideal for individuals who want to use their technical skills to advance equity in education and digital literacy.
Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts, including data basics, model training, and ethical AI considerations.
• Ability to design and present digital learning content, such as slide decks, video tutorials, or interactive exercises, in clear and simple language.
• Comfort using online collaboration and communication tools (e.g., video conferencing platforms, learning management systems, shared document tools).
• Strong communication and teaching skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences and adapt to different learning styles.
• Interest in community development, digital inclusion, and education-focused volunteer work, with a commitment to gender-neutral and non-discriminatory practices.
• Self-motivated and organized, able to manage tasks independently in a remote environment and meet agreed timelines.
• Prior experience in training, mentoring, or curriculum development is an advantage but not required; experience working with nonprofits or schools is a plus.
