Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing.
- Ensure strict compliance with Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) regulations, tax obligations, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budget variances, and cash flow forecasts.
- Manage audits, liaise with external auditors, and maintain robust internal financial controls.
- Handle import/export financial documentation, duty exemptions, and regulatory filings relevant to free zone enterprises.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance or professional certifications (e.g., ICA, ACCA, CPA) will be a distinct advantage.
- Experience: Must have at least 5 years of lead accounting experience, including independent bookkeeping and knowledge of financial and tax procedures with proven accounting experience, specifically with hands-on work in a Free Zone manufacturing or industrial environment
Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of Ghana Free Zones regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in advanced corporate accounting software and Microsoft Excel (payroll systems, financial modeling).
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
