Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Account Officer to assist in our financial department. The responsibilities of an Account Officer include keeping financial records up-to-date, checking for inaccuracies in invoices, and handling queries on general accounts.

  • Minimum Qualification: HND
  • Experience Level: Mid level
  • Experience Length: 3 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Candidates for this position would have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Would be responsible for securing participants in the aforementioned events/initiatives.
  • Would be responsible for the sales and marketing efforts to secure corporate/institutional sponsors for the aforementioned events/initiatives.
  • Would be responsible for generating the publicity and stakeholder goodwill and cooperation requisite for public appreciation of the aforementioned events.
  • Would be responsible for the sales and marketing efforts to secure resource persons and other facilitators for the aforementioned events/initiatives.
  • Would engage in research aimed at identifying best-suited stakeholders and participants in all of the above-mentioned categories
  • Would be responsible, in collaboration with our events managers, for ensuring the smooth hosting of all guests and other participants at our events, through excellent logistics planning and implementation
  • Would be responsible for customer/partner/stakeholder care and service


Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have at least a first degree or equivalent qualification from an accredited tertiary institution and/or a recognized professional qualification in marketing/sales or a similar course of study. However, graduates of other courses of study who have demonstrated a strong aptitude for marketing and sales would be considered. A similar qualification in marketing confers a strong advantage.


Requisite Skills Set:

Candidates should have the following skills:

  • Persuasive marketing skills.
  • Ability to close sales contracts on agreed terms
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Good inter-personal relationship skills
  • Ability to think outside the box through innovative thinking and application
  • Strong digital applications skills
  • Research and analytical skills


Experience:

  • Candidates must have at least two years post qualification experience in sales and marketing, preferably intangible services, in a formal corporate/institutional environment.

  • Human Resource background
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience in debt collection
  • Experience in credit control
  • Experience in financial management
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good customer service relationship
  • Knowledgeable in bookkeeping
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong organization skills
