By harnessing a robust network of local partners, our own dedicated staff, unparalleled industry expertise, and international philanthropic backing, we deploy capital and provide resources to support those in impoverished conditions. Additionally, we offer training to clients, many of whom are accessing financial services for the first time.
We selectively engage with top-tier institutions, forming partnerships with financial entities that exhibit a tangible commitment to client protection. Notably, as of August 2017, Smart Certification—a distinction denoting an exceptionally high standard of best practices in microfinance—had been granted to less than one percent of the 10,000 global microfinance institutions. Among the 80 certified institutions, six are proud partners of Opportunity International.
