The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods, materials, and equipment to designated locations. The role involves operating company vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company policies, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining delivery records, and ensuring cargo is transported securely and delivered in good condition.

Key Responsibilities:
Transportation and Delivery
- Operate company trucks safely and responsibly to transport goods to customers, warehouses, project sites, or other designated destinations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes while meeting scheduled delivery times.
- Load, transport, and unload goods where required, ensuring cargo is properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify delivery instructions and ensure accurate delivery of goods to the correct recipient.
- Obtain customer signatures or proof of delivery and return completed documentation to the office.
Vehicle Maintenance and Safety
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, oil, coolant, fuel levels, and other essential systems.
- Report mechanical faults, accidents, or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor.
- Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the assigned vehicle.
- Arrange for routine servicing and repairs as directed by management.
Compliance and Documentation
- Comply with all road traffic regulations, company policies, and transport safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, mileage, vehicle inspections, and deliveries.
- Ensure all required vehicle documents, permits, and licenses are valid and available.
- Adhere to company procedures regarding cargo handling and transportation.
Customer Service
- Represent the company professionally during deliveries and interactions with customers.
- Communicate courteously with clients and respond appropriately to delivery-related inquiries.
- Report customer feedback, complaints, or delivery issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Security and Risk Management
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo throughout transportation.
- Protect company vehicles and assets from theft, misuse, or damage.
- Report accidents, theft, delays, or security incidents immediately.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Senior High School Certificate or equivalent.
- License F
- Valid commercial driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle category.
- Minimum of 4–5 years' experience driving commercial trucks
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety regulations.

Working Conditions
- Long hours of driving, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.

- Exposure to varying weather and road conditions.
- Requires prolonged sitting, lifting, loading, and unloading of goods.
