Job descriptions & requirements
A growing cultural travel and experiences company is seeking an experienced Travel Planner to design and coordinate memorable, highly curated journeys for travellers around the world.
The organisation specialises in immersive travel experiences that combine premium accommodation, authentic cultural experiences, adventure, relaxation and meaningful connections with local communities.
This is an opportunity for a travel professional who can take a traveller from the first enquiry through to departure, creating a seamless and personalised experience at every stage.
The Role
The Travel Planner will design and coordinate private trips, group journeys and hosted travel experiences, turning travellers’ ideas and preferences into thoughtfully planned itineraries.
You will act as a trusted travel advisor, providing responsive, concierge-level support while managing the details, suppliers, bookings, budgets and logistics behind each journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Design unique, carefully curated itineraries for private, group and hosted trips, balancing adventure, culture and relaxation.
- Respond promptly and professionally to traveller enquiries, understanding their preferences, travel dates, objectives and budgets.
- Guide travellers from initial enquiry through itinerary development, quotation and confirmed booking.
- Source, compare and book 4-star and 5-star accommodation, transfers, experiences and activities through vetted suppliers and local partners.
- Prepare accurate trip costings and quotations while maintaining agreed profit margins.
- Develop pre-trip communications, travel documents, packing information and safety guidance.
- Coordinate with operations teams, trip hosts and local partners to ensure a smooth transition from planning to trip delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date traveller, booking and itinerary information within CRM and planning systems.
- Research destinations, experiences and emerging travel trends to support the development of new trips and destinations.
- Collect and analyse traveller feedback and use insights to continuously improve itineraries and customer experience.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone with:
- 2+ years of experience as a Travel Planner, Travel Consultant, Tour Operator or in a closely related travel or hospitality role.
- Experience in luxury, experiential or bespoke travel will be an advantage.
- First-hand travel experience across multiple countries and regions, with strong destination knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to develop detailed itineraries and accurate travel costings.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A warm, responsive and professional approach to working with travellers.
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple travellers, itineraries and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfort working across different time zones with international travellers and suppliers.
- Experience using booking platforms, CRM systems and digital planning tools, such as HubSpot, Airtable, Notion or Google Workspace.
- A genuine passion for travel, global cultures and meaningful experiences.
The Ideal Candidate
You are someone who believes that great travel is about more than ticking destinations off a list.
You understand how to combine great accommodation, authentic experiences, thoughtful logistics and personal touches to create journeys that travellers remember.
You are commercially aware, highly organised and comfortable working at pace, but you also have the warmth and patience required to provide a genuinely personalised travel-planning experience.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should submit their application.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
