Tractor Operator
Form Ghana Limited, a leader in sustainable forest management, is offering an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, disciplined, and safety-conscious individuals to join its dynamic team as Tractor Operators.
The role is ideal for hardworking, attentive individuals capable of operating machinery efficiently within forest plantation operations. Successful candidates will support harvesting activities by operating tractors safely and effectively while adhering to company safety standards and operational procedures.
Operators will benefit from hands-on experience, continuous guidance from experienced supervisors, and the opportunity to work within a professional forestry environment, with potential for long-term career growth within the company.
Job Title: Tractor Operator
Job Location: Berekum, Bono Region and Akumadan, Ashanti Region
Job Type- Full Time

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the extraction team during harvesting operations.
• Operate the system controls to activate and adjust winch mechanisms attached to the tractor.
• Assess the terrain and plan the movement of the harvesting tractor along the extraction routes.
• Plan and ensure no damage to standing trees along the extraction routes and roads.
• Inform the Harvesting Supervisor of extraction productivity progress on an hourly basis.
• Ensure effective communication among the extraction team members.
• Ensure harvesting tractors are operated efficiently, safely, and appropriately.
• Ensure daily production targets are achieved and reported to the Harvesting Supervisor.
• Ensure all infield mechanical faults are identified and reported to the Harvesting Supervisor.
• Ensure harvesting tractors are maintained daily and weekly in accordance with the approved maintenance schedule.
• Ensure daily machine checklists are completed accurately.
• Adhere to Health and Safety procedures during harvesting operations.
• Perform any other duties assigned to you, within your competence and capacity.
  

Eligibility

• Possess a valid driver’s license E
• Ability to lead extraction teams
• A minimum of a Junior High School (JHS) certificate
• Physically and mentally fit for the job.
• Good eyesight and depth perception.
• Must have a valid NHIS card and Ghana Card.
• Must have an SSNIT number

• Ability to safely operate tractors and related forestry equipment.
• Good understanding of tractor maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in challenging weather and field conditions.
• Physically fit and capable of handling demanding operational activities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, disciplined and dependable.
• Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational targets.
• A valid driver’s license with experience in operating heavy-duty or agricultural/forestry machinery is an added advantage.
