Ticketing And Reservations Officer

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented Ticketing Officer to manage our flight reservation and ticketing desk.

The ideal candidate will be a master of Global Distribution Systems (GDS), specifically Amadeus, and will be responsible for the end-to-end process of booking, pricing, and issuing international and local air tickets while ensuring 100% accuracy and full compliance with IATA regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▸  Booking & Reservation: Create, modify, and confirm flight reservations via Amadeus GDS.

▸  Ticketing & Issuance: Issue one-way, return, and multi-city tickets accurately.

▸  Reissues & Refunds: Handle complex ticket revalidations, re-issuances, and cancellations, ensuring correct penalty fees and fare differences are applied.

▸  Visa assistance and processing: Provide accurate, verified information on visa requirements and assist in the end-to-end visa process for our clients

▸  Fare Auditing: Compare and calculate the most cost-effective fares (including BSP and private fares) to provide competitive options for clients.

▸  Compliance: Monitor queues daily and ensure all ticketing deadlines (TLs) are met to avoid auto-cancellations.

▸  Client Support: Provide expert advice on visa requirements, transit rules, and airline policies (baggage, seat selection, etc.).

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

▸  GDS Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Amadeus

▸  Certification: Valid IATA/UFTAA Foundation or Consultant Diploma, or a recognized professional certificate in Airline Ticketing.

▸  Knowledge: Deep understanding of IATA geography, global indicators, and IATA codes.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

▸  Minimum of 3–5 years of active ticketing experience in a reputable travel agency.

▸  Strong command of English (both written and verbal).

▸  Ability to work under pressure, especially during peak travel seasons or emergency re-routings.

▸  Excellent numerical skills for calculating taxes, surcharges, and currency conversions.
