Technical Sales Engineer – Radio Communications

Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in radio communications and related technology solutions.
- Support the sales team with technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer engagements.
- Develop technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender responses.
- Conduct customer needs assessments and recommend suitable communication solutions.
- Support strategic business development initiatives across Ghana
Pre-Sales & Solution Design
- Design and propose end-to-end radio communication solutions.
- Conduct RF coverage analysis and basic network planning.
- Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment plans.
- Collaborate with vendors and technology partners on solution development.
Deployment & Technical Support
- Support installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of radio communication systems.
- Provide post-sales technical support and maintenance assistance.
- Conduct system upgrades, optimization, and performance assessments.
- Support integration with IP networks and enterprise communication platforms.
Training & Partner Support
- Deliver technical training to customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Support exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops, and industry events.
Required Qualifications & Experience
HND/Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in technical sales, telecommunications, radio communications, or systems integration.
Strong understanding of professional mobile radio (PMR) technologies.
Experience with:
- DMR systems
- TETRA systems
- LTE/PoC communications
- RF systems and antennas
- IP networking and wireless infrastructure
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience in technical proposal preparation and customer presentations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and across multiple countries.
- Fluency in English required; French language skills will be an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with mission-critical communications solutions.
- Familiarity with Motorola, Hytera, Huawei, or similar communication platforms.
- Understanding of smart city, public safety, logistics, mining, energy, or industrial communication environments.
- Knowledge of IoT and integrated enterprise communication systems.
- Experience working on government, enterprise, port, mining, or infrastructure projects.
