Key Responsibilities:

Alterations and Repairs:

• Perform alterations and repairs on existing clothing items to achieve the desired fit and style.
• Take accurate measurements and make adjustments to garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and adjusting sleeves or collars.
• Replace zippers, buttons, and other fasteners as needed to restore functionality and appearance.

Fittings and Consultations:

• Meet with customers to discuss their clothing preferences, style preferences, and fit requirements.
• Take precise measurements and conduct fittings to ensure that garments fit properly and meet the customers expectations.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations on fabric selection, garment styling, and design options.

Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service, building rapport with customers and addressing their needs and concerns in a professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their preferences and ensure that their expectations are met or exceeded.
• Manage customer inquiries, appointments, and orders in a timely and efficient manner.

Maintenance and Organization:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped work area, including sewing machines, cutting tables, and storage areas for fabrics and supplies.
• Regularly clean and maintain sewing equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Manage inventory of fabrics, threads, and other sewing supplies, replenishing stock as needed.

Qualifications:

• Sewing Skills: Proficiency in sewing techniques, including machine sewing, hand sewing, and garment construction.
• Experience with various fabrics, stitches, and sewing methods.
• Previous experience in tailoring, alterations, or garment construction.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and conduct fittings to ensure proper garment fit and customer satisfaction.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in cutting, stitching, and finishing garments. Ability to maintain high-quality standards in all aspects of tailoring work.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, understand their needs, and deliver personalized service.
• Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative flair and an eye for design, with the ability to interpret clothing designs and patterns and offer creative solutions to meet customer preferences.

Working days: Monday to Friday.
