Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the institution's core banking system.
- Manage servers, networks, computers, and other IT infrastructure.
- Create and manage user accounts, access rights, and system permissions.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Implement appropriate cybersecurity and data protection measures.
- Manage regular data backups and recovery procedures.
- Maintain IT asset records and ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff.
- Monitor technology risks and recommend improvements to IT systems and controls.
Requirements
- Degree/HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant IT certifications are an advantage.
- 3–5 years' relevant experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
