Job Summary

The Structural Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, evaluation, and inspection of structural systems for all SuCasa development projects. This includes ensuring that all buildings, bridges, foundations, and infrastructure elements are structurally sound, code-compliant, and cost- efficient. The role requires collaboration with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to ensure flawless execution from design through to construction.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze structural components including beams, columns, slabs, foundations, and retaining structures.
  • Evaluate architectural drawings and propose structurally viable solutions.
  • Prepare and review detailed structural engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct load calculations, structural modeling, and simulations.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, international standards, and safety regulations.
  • Inspect construction works to verify proper implementation of structural plans.
  • Provide technical support on structural modifications, defects, or site adjustments.
  • Liaise with contractors and site teams to ensure structural integrity throughout construction.
  • Coordinate with quantity surveyors and civil engineers for cost-effective solutions.
  • Prepare structural inspection reports and certification documents.


Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in structural design and on-site implementation.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD).
  • Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel, and foundation systems.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with a professional engineering body (e.g., GhIE).

  • Clear communicator with excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Capable of working independently and under time constraints.
  • Collaborative and responsive to design, engineering, and construction team inputs.

Head Office & Project Sites (East Legon Hills – Katamanso)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: GHS 4,000 – 8,000
