Job Summary

The Steel Sales Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining steel sales channels within Accra and surrounding districts, including the Eastern and Volta Regions. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, managing strong customer relationships, and expanding the company’s steel business. The position also supports business continuity by strengthening customer coverage and providing effective backup within the eastern steel sales operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage steel sales channels to achieve assigned sales targets.
  • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with existing steel customers and key accounts.
  • Identify and onboard new customers to expand market presence within the assigned territories.
  • Execute approved sales plans and strategies in line with departmental and company objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the steel industry.
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and prepare regular performance reports for management review.
  • Support customer retention initiatives and ensure continuous customer engagement.
  • Serve as a backup resource within the steel sales team to ensure operational continuity.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned in support of the steel and hardware business.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND).
  • At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the steel, hardware, or related industries.
  • Proven experience in Accra’s steel market or channel development is highly preferred.
  • Existing steel and transportation client networks will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, customer relationship management, and territory coverage.
  • Ability to manage sales activities within Accra, Eastern Region, and Volta Region.
