The Role
We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Special Needs Preschool PE Teacher. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong balance of classroom management, emotional empathy, and physical energy. You will play a key role in helping students achieve developmental milestones while creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Active Instruction: Lead daily PE sessions and outdoor activities. You should be physically active and able to engage with children aged 3–8 throughout the day.
- Goal Achievement: Support each child in achieving developmental goals, including completing activities independently and participating in group settings.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor and document student progress regularly for internal records and parent updates.
- Communication: Work closely with parents to share progress and ensure consistency between school and home.
- Support & Safety: Provide behavioral and emotional support while ensuring all activities are conducted in a safe and structured environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school qualification or above
- Experience: No prior experience required. Candidates must be comfortable working closely with special needs children in active, movement-based settings. Experience in special education is an advantage.
- Mindset: Willing to learn, team-oriented, and seeking a stable, long-term career
- Personal Traits: Patient, adaptable, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with neurodivergent children
- Location: Candidates residing in or near West Legon are preferred
- Training: Training will be provided for candidates who are willing to learn
