Description Of Job
- Plan and implent slope stability monitoring strategies and report all geo-technical hazards.
- Maintain the geo-technical database.
- Geo-technical logging of diamond drill holes.
- Liaise with mine production to ensure geo-technical design parameters are achieved.
- Review the design slopes parameters.
- Assist with geological mapping in the pit.
- Assist the Chief Mine Geologist in departmental budgeting.
- Any other assigned duties
Qualification Required & Experience
- Minimum 5 years practical experience in geo-technical engineering.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Good computer skills – 3D Mining Software (preferably Surpac), specialist geo-technical software.
- Degree in Geology or related discipline with (minimum requirement).
