OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
To ensure effective functioning of all equipment for optimum production recovery.
Role Accountabilities

  • Conduct pre-start checks on equipment at the beginning of each shift and report defects or deviations to the supervisor.
  • Carry out timely steel ball charging into mills to support effective milling and improved throughput.
  • Support housekeeping activities including cleaning used liners and lifters after mill relining, removing scraps, and emptying dustbins in the CIL plant.
  • Operate and control thickeners and support the correct operation of the flocculants mixing plant in coordination with control room operators.
  • Ensure flocculant powder availability and maintain filled mixing hoppers for continuous plant operation.
  • Apply safe work procedures and task procedures to ensure safe, efficient circuit control and environmental compliance, and report accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Role Requirements
Education & Qualification

  • HND / GCE O level / GCE A level / SSCE / Middle School Leaving Certificate / JHS / Mechanical Engineering Technician II / Electrical & Electronic Technician II, NVTI, City & Guilds or its equivalent from a reputable institution.
  • Valid driver's license.

Experience

  • 1-3 years working experience in a gold processing plant.

Knowledge & Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of processing plant operations.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining quality of work.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with people of diverse cultures and values.
  • Proficiency in driving a light vehicle.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work under direction and supervision for most tasks.
