Role Description The Senior Housekeeping Attendant is a full-time, on-site position based in Accra, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in guest rooms and public areas. This role oversees daily housekeeping operations on assigned floors, including room inspections, inventory checks, and coordination of cleaning schedules. The Senior Housekeeping Attendant supports team members by providing guidance, assisting with training on procedures and safety, and helping resolve guest housekeeping requests promptly and professionally. Responsibilities also include handling laundry and linen processes, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring that all housekeeping tasks comply with brand and health regulations. The role contributes to a positive guest experience by consistently delivering a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• 1st degree in hospitality management
• 5+ years in a 5-star hotel
• Strong housekeeping and laundry skills, including experience with cleaning standards, linen care, and handling housekeeping equipment.
• Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and collaborate smoothly with team members and other departments.
• Excellent organization skills to manage room assignments, prioritize tasks, track inventories, and ensure timely completion of daily activities.
• Experience in training or mentoring housekeeping staff, with the ability to demonstrate procedures and support continuous improvement.
• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, ideally in a supervisory or senior attendant capacity.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene practices within a hospitality environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, lifting, and bending.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand standards and guest satisfaction.
