Role Description The Senior Housekeeping Attendant is a full-time, on-site role based at Best Western Premier Accra Airport Hotel in Accra. This role is responsible for supervising and performing daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning guest rooms and public areas, replenishing amenities, and ensuring all spaces meet hotel cleanliness and safety standards. The position involves inspecting rooms, coordinating workloads, supporting laundry operations, and reporting maintenance issues promptly. The Senior Housekeeping Attendant will help train and guide housekeeping team members, uphold brand standards, and respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner. The role requires close collaboration with other departments to maintain a smooth and welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• a first degree in hotel management or related field, with 2nd class upper or higher
• Strong housekeeping and laundry skills, including room cleaning, linen handling, and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
• Solid organization and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage workloads, and meet operational standards.
• Experience in training or mentoring housekeeping staff, with the ability to support skill development and adherence to procedures.
• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, preferably in a 4-star or similar hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards in hospitality settings.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, lifting, and bending throughout the shift.
