Purpose Of Role
Provide strategic communication counsel to the following business units: consumer marketing, finance, events & sponsorship, external affairs, Vodafone Foundation and HR business functions.
Work with stakeholders and Corporate Communications team to create a system to manage and align messaging within the business.
Manage members of the internal and external communications team to deliver the strategic objectives of the department
Key Accountabilities

• Create plans that sustain messaging with our stakeholders to extend communication about our brand
• Create and execute integrated communication plans that are aligned to our strategic objectives
• Work with full Corporate Communications team to ensure consistency of messaging
• Work with events the events team to develop events that are aligned to our strategic objectives and drive the business agenda; work with the Events & Sponsorship team to deliver on-brand events
• Provide PR support for key events on the Events & Sponsorship calendar
• Prepare interview schedules and manage media interviews at all events
• Liaise with Events & Sponsorship team and relevant agencies to guarantee the best guest experience at all events
• Listen to news programs on key radio stations daily and ensure prompt action is taken on negative stories about the VF Ghana brand
  

Person Specification

• MS Office: specifically, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent copy writing and editing skills
• Proven experience of PR and event management
• Excellent interpersonal skill
• Ability to deliver high-quality output in pressurized situation
