Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Cook to join our culinary team. The Senior Cook will play a key role in overseeing kitchen operations, preparing high-quality dishes, and ensuring consistency in food preparation and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of culinary techniques and food safety standards.

Job Description/Requirements


Food Preparation and Cooking:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the menu and restaurant standards.
  • Ensure all food is cooked and presented in an appealing manner.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation of dishes.

Kitchen Management:


  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including coordinating with other kitchen staff.
  • Assign tasks and manage the workflow to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and meets health and safety regulations.

Menu Development:

  •  Assist in developing and updating the menu, including creating new recipes and specials.
  • Ensure all menu items are prepared in accordance with established recipes and standards.

Inventory and Supplies:

  •  Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste.


Training and Mentorship:

  •  Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to improve their skills.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.


Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished dishes to maintain high standards.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies in food quality and presentation promptly.


  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  •  Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained in good working condition.



  • Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, recipes, and kitchen operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
